Transportation Supervisor

Job description
- Responsible for optimizing costs and improving service quality of the area in charge
- Regional annual planning to ensure optimal operations with best costs and SLA
- Propose and track projects to improve Linehaul operations
- Review and monitor car booking plans during BAU/Spike-day
- Coordinate with other functional departments, resolve emergencies (eg: urgent requests for additional/replacement trucks, overloaded stations, heavy traffic, etc.)
- Ensure continuous improvement in performance (KPI) and operational efficiency through optimization of work procedures (SOP)
- Investigate and understand the root cause of operational errors (eg: work time violations, driver fights, cheating, etc.)
- Build good relationships with relevant parties such as SOC, FLM, Vendor
- Ensure drivers comply with internal and external regulations/SOPs
- Actively contribute and provide detailed insights from the ground (operators, drivers, etc.) to optimize operations.
Candidate requirements
- College, bachelor or equivalent; Degree in logistics, supply chain, transportation, equipment management would be an advantage
- Minimum 3 years experience in transportation management
- Analytical thinking and good problem solving skills
- Task management and good team collaboration
- Experienced in GPS truck monitoring/Tools/Excel/Good reporting and analysis tools
- Good English reading skills
- Experience in team management
- Experience in SOP Design/Optimization is a big plus
- Able to rotate shifts and work in shifts.
