Accordingly, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs issued the official announcement of the 5-day holiday on April 30 and May 1, 2024 as follows:

Implement the instructions of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at Official Dispatch 2450/VPCP-KGVX April 12, 2024 of the Government Office on the proposal to swap working days for the holiday of Victory Day, April 30, and International Labor Day, May 1, 2024, Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Notify state administrative agencies, public service units and businesses to implement the working day swap schedule as follows:

(1) Officials, civil servants, public employees and employees of state administrative agencies and public service units (hereinafter referred to as civil servants and public employees) are allowed to exchange working days from Monday (April 29, 2024) to Saturday (May 4, 2024).

Thus, on the occasion of Victory Day, April 30, and International Labor Day, May 1, 2024, civil servants and public employees will have 5 consecutive days off from Saturday, April 27, 2024 to the end of Wednesday. May 1, 2024 (make up on Saturday, May 4, 2024).

(2) Agencies and units implementing the above holiday schedule must arrange appropriate working departments to handle continuous work, ensuring good service to the organization, the people, In which, note that officials and civil servants should be assigned to handle sudden and unexpected tasks that may occur. Agencies and units that do not have a fixed holiday schedule on Saturdays and Sundays every week must, based on the specific program and plan of the unit, arrange a suitable holiday schedule in accordance with the provisions of law. .

(3) Encourage employers at enterprises to apply holiday time off for Victory Day, April 30, and International Labor Day, May 1, 2024, for employees as prescribed for public employees. officials and public employees, but ensuring full implementation of benefits for employees according to the provisions of law, encouraging agreements that are more beneficial to employees.
